🎙️ ScienceUs Podcast – Science for all of us
The European project @ScienceUs is launching its new podcast dedicated to citizen science and climate change adaptation in Europe 🌍
In each episode, meet researchers and practitioners who are developing projects at the intersection of citizen science and climate action. Through their firsthand accounts, they share what they’ve learned: what works, what remains a challenge, and what these experiences can contribute to research and public policy.
🎧 Episode #1 – Citizen Science in Action: Thermo-staat
As heat waves become more frequent, overheating in homes is emerging as a growing concern for health and well-being. In this first episode, we speak with Teije Terhorst from Waag Futurelab about Thermo-staat, a citizen science project in the Netherlands.
How does it work? Residents measure the temperature in their homes and collaborate with experts to analyze the data. This initiative demonstrates how everyday experiences can become valuable scientific resources for better understanding and addressing climate change.
Whether you’re a researcher, a practitioner, or simply curious about the power of collective action, this podcast is for you.
